It had been rumored for weeks now that the mandate of the Normalization Committee of the FECAFOOT was to be extended; and though it’s President, Barrister Dieudonne Happi, had refuted those claims, it is now officially confirmed that the Committee’s stay at Tsinga quarters in Yaoundé will last longer than expected.

After a series of meetings with a FIFA inspection team on a working visit to Cameroon since February 27, 2018, it was disclosed that the mandate of the Normalization Committee of the FECAFOOT has been extended to August 31, 2018.

After the said announcement, tongues have been wagging as to why each time the mandate of a Normalization Committee of the FECAFOOT is extended, while other Normalization Committees like in Argentina (6 months) and Gabon (3 months) have maintained their deadlines.

However, Barrister Dieudonne Happi and Co. are expected to review the texts of the FECAFOOT, control the day-to-day running of the federation, and conduct and supervise a free and fair elections to determine the new team of Cameroon’s football governing body, FECAFOOT.
